Drejby Strand Camping is located at Als surrounded by a lot of wonderful
and fun activities and experiences for the whole family – all of them nearby.

The lighthouse Kegnæs Fyr

There has been a lighthouse at Kegnæshøj since 1845, but only from 1896, the current lighthouse has been guiding the ships. At the lighthouse you find a weather station, which reports to the Danish weather service DMI 24 hours a day. In summertime the lighthouse is open for visits and you can have a view of Broagerland, Germany and the southern Funen Islands, Ærø and Langeland. Walking distance is approx. 10 minutes.

Horse riding for children and adults

Plovgaard Turistridning og Hesteterapi offer various forms of pony riding. On Tuesdays and Fridays, the youngest (up to 9 years) can come unannounced. For older children or adults, an appointment is required.

Sønderborg and Als

Sønderborg offers you good shopping possibilities either in the beautiful pedestrian street with lots of cafes or in the new shopping center Borgen. Driving distance 20 minutes.

In the southeast part of Southern Jutland, you find Als, which is an island of 321 km². Here you can experience the beautiful and varying nature and animal life.

You find rolling grain fields in the cultural landscape with the old villages, farms and small roads – and you can observe the birds at wetlands and take a walk along idyllic lakes and impressive coastal landscapes.

Den Gamle Stald

Den Gamle Stald – just 1.6 kilometers from Drejby Strand Camping – is an exciting arts and crafts shop.

Den Gamle Stald is very cozy, and every corner is decorated with wonderful goods! Here you can see news and current trends in home decoration; find a nice souvenir or eat an ice cream with the rest of the family.

Kajak & Hygge

Would you like to experience the most beautiful coast in Southern Jutland from a kayak?
You will learn to navigate safely and have fun on the water and get the opportunity to learn something about the Danish-German border history.
Enjoy nature and the Danish HYGGE!

Participation takes place by registration and written confirmation via e-mail. All further information will also be sent by email.
Each kayak rental includes safety equipment (rental basis) and basic safety information.

Drejby Strand Camping is experiences – for the whole family!

Augustiana

Augustiana is the new art center and sculpture park in
the region. Augustiana is located in the Mansion at Augustenborg Slot and is
an exhibition space for contemporary art and sculptures.
Driving distance 15 minutes.

Gråsten Palace

When the Royal family is not present at the Palace,
you will be able to take a walk in the Palace Gardens and visit
the Palace Church. Driving distance 30 minutes.

The Gendarm Path

Follow in the footsteps of the former border guards on this path, which is 74 km long. Along the water from the border to Sydals. Ask for more hiking and biking trails in the reception.

Universe

Take your family to a visit to Universe and experience the largest and most fun amusement park in Southern Jutland.

Here you can discover the marvelous universe of science and technology and we promise both enthusiasm and amusement for both large and small members of your family.

I 2017 Universe opened a large Virtual Reality- news, where you together can discover exiting virtual worlds.

You can also try to climb the new sky high Sky Trail and rush around in the brand new electric cars.

Tickets can be bought in reception. Driving distance 25 minutes.

Tilting-at-the-ring

One of the highlights in the summer, where every city with respect for oneself, has its own Tilting Festival. From May to September, you will always be able to find a place, where you can experience a Tilting Festival. Close to us – about 2 km from the campsite – you find Skovby, where the Tilting Festival take place in the beginning of August.
